MyForeskin 2.0 Status Update

Hello,

I've got an announcement to make and a question to ask.

First - MyForeskin 2.0 is fully functional. All current features of the new site are up and running well. We still have some features to add, but for the most part everything is done.

Second - Shadow and I are at a pretty complete loss for how to transfer data out of Drupal and Into the new system. If I could afford to hire a professional programmer we could probably have the fancy database scripts written that would be required to transfer data... but I don't have the skills or money necessary to do the task myself.

So my question for you guys  is this: Would you all like to start using the new system now or would you like to wait until I can either save the money to hire a programmer or learn the task myself?

If you guys want to move to the fancy new system now, I would leave this original site up - without the abiliity to create new content... which would allow us all to work together and copy and past any important content from the old system (including your profile data, any good forum topics, and your blog posts). The problem with approach is that it's not automated and would require each person here to manually create their account on the new system.

If you all want to wait, then I will start attempting to learn the skills necessary to write data-base quieries and saving monies to hire a programmer. The problem with this approach is that we will have to continue to have to use this older crippled system for an unknown amount of time. The advantage is that when we do have it figured out, the transition would be mostly seamless... no manual transfering of data.

So, as you can see each approach has it's problems and each has some advantages. So I leave it up to you as the community. Please vote in the comments - I will tally at the end of the week and we will move forward accordingly.
